discipleship experiences

We at Bold and Free believe in discipleship experiences that consist of 5 components.

#1 - The Word of God - Lights our path, provides teaching on God's way, convicts us of our sin, shows us how to grow spiritually, and how to become more like Jesus - 2 Tim 3:16-17, Psalm 119:105

#2 - The Holy Spirit - Seals all believers until the day of redemption, Convicts us of our sin, helps us to understand The Word of God, changes us from the inside out, gives us gifts to edify others, encourages, comforts, and produces fruit in us. Eph 4:30, John 16:7-11, Romans 8:29, Gal 5:22-23.

#3 - A spiritually mature, and faithful believer who can share their own experience with God and the fruit of their own spiritual walk while they teach guide, challenge, encourage, and admonish another believer with love, grace, and mercy - Matthew 28:19-20, 1 Cor 11:1, 2 Tim 2:1-3

#4 - A believer who wants to grow in their walk with God by learning how to apply God's Word through the teaching of another brother or sister in Christ with an attitude of obedience, trust, faith, and hope. - Romans 12:1-2

#5 - Guided content (written, audio, or video) based on the Word of God that helps one believer to impart godly wisdom and truth to another believer and then encourage and challenge them to apply what they have learned.

We believe that components #1-4 are mandatory and that #5 can be effective in the discipleship process, as long as the content reinforces, rightly divides, and honors the Word of God, for both the one who is discipling and the one who is being discipled.  At Bold and Free our purpose is to promote effective life changing, relationship building, discipleship. We believe when all 5 components are combined together one believer can help another believer grow stronger in their relationship with God and build a relationship with each other that can last for all eternity.
